and tons of fun were had at our Halloween Bash.
Our owners dressed in their Halloween best and shared
some treats with grandkids and great-grandkids that made
the rounds trick-or-treating. Fun, games and lots
of laughs were heard as we spied each other costumes.
You never feel old when you act young!
Signs of Summer abound at Gramercy Park! And the
change in season has brought a lot of new faces to the
cooperative. In the past few months we've seen
several of our residents move-out, however, because of
the huge demand from our waitlist we've seen those units
fill quickly and are enjoying meeting and learning about
our new neighbors.
We saw first hand an example of that demand during our
last, very successful, waitlist coffee.
standing room only we had to pull out more tables and
put them in the fireside room... and the unit we had for
sale sold during the open house!
we enjoyed two more great get-togethers - a Pasty
Supper, featuring Dexter Larson's famous pasty's, was
attended by about 70 people and a Friday morning brunch
with an awesome egg bake!
on Friday, June 19th - our Annual Meeting. We'll be
electing our new board of directors while we enjoy
Arnie's famous Chicken Barbecue and the return of
Pinewood Landing - an absolutely entertaining bluegrass
Park is excited to announce that we've joined the Duluth
Chamber of Commerce and will be attending Chamber 101
on May 28th. The Chamber should bring us many
opportunities to share how wonderful cooperative living
can be and generate more recognition for our property.
former Director, Kim, has sweetened things up with a new
puppy named Sugar. She's the cutest little
Springer Spaniel, only 10 weeks old and she get's along
with her "big brother" Lucky, just fine.
JANUARY 14, 2009
Happy New Year! With lots of fluffy white snow outside a
cozy fire burning in the lobby we had a joyous holiday
season at Gramercy Park.
We kicked off the holidays with our Waitlist Coffee
on December 10th. About 20 people braved the cold to
visit our location and enjoy our Christmas coffee.
We enjoyed meeting them and are currently planning our
next Waitlist Coffee event on April 29th.
With the new year, we've added some new activities!
For those with an adventuresome spirit we've
added monthly shuttle trips to Black Bear Casino, in our
first trip on January 12th, we had 20 people hit the
slots -- one of them winning over $200 on a penny
machine! Others had luck as well.
We also started hosting AARP sessions on a monthly
basis, called 55 Alive and is only for
Duluth residents. Taking the sessions helps to
lower your insurance premiums, more than 23 residents
participated in the first meeting. The instructor
likes our place so much, he's planning on getting on our
waitlist. Sessions will take place on the second
Monday of each month from 9am - 1pm.
NOVEMBER 11, 2008
welcomed a furry new member to our Gramercy Family - Our
Manager, Kim, brought her new puppy, Lucky to meet and
greet us! Lucky is a Coton de Tulear, and we sure had
fun watching him check the place out. His fuzzy
white coat reminds us that winter is just around the
corner and his jolly demeanor puts us all in the holiday

As promised! Here is that Great shot of the Blue Heron
gulping down one of our orange goldfish, courtesy of
resident photographer, Mary Milbrath.
OCTOBER 15, 2008
Our September Open House was a great success! We met
many prospective owners who were added to our waiting
list, shared some treats and raved about what fun we
have here at Gramercy Park Duluth. The Hermantown Star
was on-site to interview and check out our home, and
better yet - our vacant unit sold!
One of our resident photographers, Mary Milbrath, took a
GREAT picture in our backyard, by the pond. She
captured a Blue Heron gulping down one of our orange
goldfish - what a shot! Check back, we'll be
posting it soon!
AUGUST 26, 2008
Welcome to the new Gramercy Park Duluth website!
excited to be able to share our community online and
hope you enjoy looking at our pictures, hearing about
all the fun we have here and learning about what an
incredible opportunity Coop living is for active seniors
Through the process of preparing this website for the
web, I've learned just how much our residents enjoy the
lifestyle our community provides - whether they are
looking for a grand social experience or just a private
place to call home, our residents have found it all.
Check out our testimonials
to hear what everyone has to say.
Putting together our website isn't the only fun we've
had this month. We kicked off August with a Gramercy
Potluck (we've got some great cooks living here!). Our
Gramercy Room is the perfect location for a big
gathering. We shared fun, food and a whole bunch of
laughs! You can check out the photos to the right- no
one left hungry!
We've also had a couple members start a new Poker Group
- these high-rollers are in it for fun - only $3.00 to
ante up - and one of the big winners left with $4.35!
Everyone loves a little friendly competition and we love
that our residents start
activities that anyone can enjoy. You'll find
everything from a weekly Happy Hour to Wii Sports and a
number of annual events like our Hobby Fair to either
participate or just watch from the side lines.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We
hope you'll consider being our neighbor!
